Repose Ambulance Companion offers improved comfort and patient dignity while reducing the risk of hospital-acquired pressure ulcers (HAPUs) for patients who experience delays during ambulance handovers and extended trolley waits in emergency departments.

The Repose Ambulance Companion is an effective pressure area care solution that can be safely secured to an ambulance stretcher or patient trolley. It offers comfort to patients who are most vulnerable while also helping healthcare professionals provide enhanced care and maintain their patients’ dignity. Repose is lightweight, easy to set up, and readily accessible.

Repose is indicated for the prevention of pressure ulcers for patients at very high risk and treatment of all categories of pressure ulcers when used as part of a package of care.

What is a PU Cover?

A multi-stretch polyurethane cover, that is moisture vapour permeable, water resistant with a protective zip cover to prevent fluid ingress.

Multi-stretch polyurethane covers are durable, vapour permeable and water-resistant, supporting high levels of immersion and envelopment, and helping reduce shear and friction forces to enhance patient comfort.
Features six durable webbed polyurethane retention straps, offering enhanced fixation at the foot and head end for greater stability and security.
Radiolucent with minimal artefact
Integrated welded seams and waterproof zips are designed to prevent fluid ingress, aid cleaning and decontamination and are machine washable supporting local infection control policies.
The cover can be wiped down or machine washed at 65˚C Repose can be cleaned and reused

Indications For Use

INDICATIONS FOR USE

Repose products provide effective pressure redistribution for all people at risk of developing pressure ulcers, including those assessed as very high risk. Repose is also appropriate for users with pressure related tissue damage – clinical supervision is advised where the damage is severe.

LIMITATIONS FOR USE

Repose is not suitable for the following:

Persons weighing in excess of 139kg
Persons with unstable spinal fractures
Where body shape is such that the person cannot be fully supported by the Repose mattress overlay or cushion
Repose is suitable for use with bed and trolley side rails subject to the bed or trolley manufacturer’s instructions and appropriate risk assessment

PRECAUTIONS

If deterioration in skin condition is noted, clinical advice should be sought and, if so advised, use of the product discontinued. Avoid direct contact with heat and sharp objects. When deflated, keep away from babies and small children. Keep away from pets.
